❌ Dry needling alone can only provide temporary relief from pain and discomfort. It is not sufficient for long-term recovery.
❌ It mainly targets muscular-related problems
Therefore, dry needling should be combined with exercise and other treatment approaches to achieve optimal results and address the root cause of the condition.
What is it? 💉
Dry needling involves the insertion of fine needles into muscle trigger points 💪 to relieve pain and tension.
Benefits 🩹
Relieves muscle tension and pain
Improves muscle function and range of motion
Accelerates recovery and reduces chronic pain
Suitable for 👨👧👧
#myofascialpainsyndrome patients
#chronicpain patients (e.g., neck, shoulder, lower back pain)
#muscleimbalance or #posturalissues patients

This gentleman 👨💻 is an office worker who spends long hours sitting and working on a computer, leading to persistent neck and shoulder pain.
This issue has troubled him for several years. During severe episodes, he experienced:
❗ Tightness in the neck and shoulders, as if something was pulling or stuck
❗ Persistent soreness that could not be relieved even with stretching
❗ Tightness in the upper back when raising his arms
❗ Limited neck rotation (less than 90°)
He had tried massage and traditional treatments, but only experienced temporary relief lasting 3–4 days.
With a willingness to try something new, he sought physiotherapy. After assessment, our physiotherapist identified underlying issues such as #roundedshoulders, #forwardheadposture, and mild #kyphosis, which led to excessive strain on the posterior neck and shoulder muscles. This resulted in multiple trigger points, or “knots.”With our treatment approach—including dry needling / shockwave therapy, infrared therapy, manual therapy, exercise strengthening, posture correction advice, and avoiding excessive stretching—he achieved 80% pain recovery after 3 sessions.
