Spastic Diplegia Cerebral Palsy (SDCP)

⭐ Etiology (Non-progressive brain damage)
Prenatal factors: Such as abnormal brain development during fetal period, genetic mutations, placental abruption, etc.
Perinatal factors: Premature birth, asphyxia, which may lead to cerebral hypoxia or injury.
Postnatal factors: Brain infections, trauma, poisoning, etc.
⭐ Complications
Motor impairments: Limb spasms and stiffness restrict movement, affecting activities of daily living.
Speech and cognitive impairments: Some patients may experience difficulties in speech and cognitive functions.
Psychological well-being
⭐ Treatment Options
To date, cerebral palsy cannot be cured, but various interventions can enhance quality of life and independence.

❗ Physical Therapy
>Physical therapy: Including techniques such as massage, stretching, heat therapy, and exercises aimed at relieving muscle spasms and improving muscle range of motion.
>Rehabilitation training: Exercises aimed at improving patients’ motor function and daily living skills through activities focused on balance, strengthening, and controlling movement.
❗ Pharmacological Treatment: Medications such as muscle relaxants may be used to address muscle spasms and stiffness.
❗ Surgical Intervention: Severe cases may require surgical procedures, such as neuro-muscular blocking procedures or other surgical interventions.
Hock Physiotherapy

Every small movement is built upon countless hours of effort and practice.

For children and adults with cerebral palsy, even simple actions such as raising a hand, standing, or taking a step require far greater courage and perseverance than most. 💪

With the support of physiotherapy, we begin to see changes —
Tight and stiff arms gradually start to relax;
A body that once could not sit up independently slowly gains balance;
Eyes that were once hesitant begin to shine again with confidence. ✨

On the journey of rehabilitation, there are no miracles—only consistent effort over time.
Every step forward is a step toward a better version of oneself.

May everyone on the path of recovery be understood, encouraged, and seen. 💚
